A Fantastic Morning at Sandwich Market - 16 Oct 2026

What a brilliant bunch the Sandwich Artisan Craft Group are!

Yesterday, Gill, Hazel, Michael, Mary, Anne and the rest of the gang were up bright and early to set up their stall at Sandwich Market, selling a wonderful selection of the beautiful hand-knitted items they have been busy creating.

From the moment the stall opened, they worked tirelessly throughout the morning, chatting to shoppers, selling their lovely handmade pieces and raising money for Age Concern Sandwich.

We are absolutely delighted to say that they raised an amazing amount for us, and we really cannot thank them enough. Not only for the money raised, but for the time, energy and enthusiasm they give so generously. They are a tremendous asset to Age Concern Sandwich and we are incredibly grateful for everything they do.

As well as selling their knitted creations, the group were also busy selling tickets for our Chinese Raffle, giving you the chance to win one of a selection of beautiful handmade blankets.

The raffle works a little differently from a traditional raffle — you choose the blanket you would most like to win and your ticket is entered specifically for that item.

Tickets are available from reception at Age Concern Sandwich, so do pop in.

And if you missed the group at the market this time, there is another chance to catch them soon. Their next stall at Sandwich Market will be on Thursday 19th November, when they will once again have a fantastic selection of handmade knitted items for sale — perfect timing if you are looking for something a little different for a Christmas present.
