A Wonderful Summer Fair at Age Concern Sandwich - 17 Jul 2026

What a fantastic time we had at our Summer Fair.

The weather was kind to us, the atmosphere was full of smiles, and it was lovely to see so many people come along to support Age Concern Sandwich. From the very beginning, there was a real buzz around the Well-being Centre, with visitors enjoying the stalls, refreshments, raffle, music and all the fun of the fair.

We were delighted to welcome the amazing local talent Hollie Firmin, who provided brilliant live music throughout the day. Her singing created such a lovely atmosphere and was enjoyed by everyone who came along.  What a voice!

Our café and food stall was also busy, serving lots of homemade favourites. Our famous sausage rolls proved as popular as ever and sold out in record time, along with plenty of other delicious pastries and treats.

Thanks to the incredible support of everyone involved, we raised a record-breaking amount for Age Concern Sandwich. This money will go directly towards supporting the work we do in the local community, helping us continue to provide services, activities, meals, companionship and a welcoming space for those who need us.

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came along on the day, bought raffle tickets, visited the stalls, made donations, purchased refreshments, and helped create such a wonderful community event.

We are also extremely grateful to all the local businesses and supporters who donated such fantastic raffle prizes. The generosity shown was truly amazing, and we were delighted to see so many lucky winners take home some brilliant prizes.

Thank you also to Sandwich Community Events for the wonderful donation of their gazebos which helped to protect us from the sun, we are very grateful.

A special thank you must also go to our amazing staff, amazing volunteers and everyone who helped behind the scenes, whether setting up, baking, serving, selling tickets, running stalls or clearing away afterwards. Events like this simply would not happen without such kindness, energy and support.

It was a lovely reminder of what a special community we have here in Sandwich. Thank you to everyone who helped make our Summer Fair such a success.
