World Food Day is a great opportunity to celebrate something that plays such an important part in everyday life at Age Concern Sandwich: good food.
Whether it is a freshly cooked lunch in our café, a meal delivered through our Meals on Wheels service, something tasty to take away, or one of our frozen meals to enjoy at home, there are plenty of ways to enjoy our food.
Our new Autumn/Winter menu is now being served and is full of warming favourites. Dishes include roast dinners, cottage pie, lamb hot pot, liver and bacon, lasagne, sausage and mash, steak and kidney pudding, our new Greek dishes, aromatic curry and plenty more.
And, of course, there is always room for pudding. Our menu includes traditional favourites such as treacle tart, Bakewell tart, bread pudding, jam roly-poly and rice pudding, alongside our popular homemade cakes. 2 courses just £9.
For those who prefer to eat at home, our Meals on Wheels service offers freshly prepared meals delivered directly to the door, from £9.50 for 2 courses. We also offer our Teatime Treat, and a range of convenient frozen microwaveable meals, with mains from £5 and puddings from £2.
We know that everyone’s needs are different, so we also cater for a range of dietary requirements, including vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free and diabetic options.
Our café is also the perfect place to pop in for something lighter. Alongside our lunches you will usually find homemade cakes, delicious scones, our famous sausage rolls, quiches and other treats, all served with a cup of tea or coffee and a warm welcome.
For us, food is about much more than what is on the plate. It is about bringing people together, enjoying good company and making mealtimes something to look forward to.
So, this World Food Day, why not come and discover what is on the menu at Age Concern Sandwich?
Whether you are joining us in the café, taking something home or using one of our meal services, we would love to see you.
