We are delighted to introduce a wonderful new addition to the Sunflower Centre at Age Concern Sandwich — our very own Tiny Tablet interactive touchscreen.
The Tiny Tablet is a large, easy-to-use interactive screen designed to bring people together through fun, stimulating and engaging activities. It offers a wide range of games, quizzes and challenges that can be enjoyed by individuals or groups, making it a fantastic way to encourage social interaction, conversation, laughter and gentle mental stimulation.
We are already having great fun using it in the Sunflower Centre. Our clients have been enjoying games, competitions, crosswords, archery, table football and even Hungry Hippos! It has quickly become a popular activity, bringing smiles, friendly rivalry and plenty of enjoyment to everyone taking part.
For those living with dementia and other age-related conditions, activities like these can be especially beneficial. The Tiny Tablet helps support memory, concentration, coordination and communication, while also encouraging people to join in, share experiences and connect with others. Most importantly, it provides moments of pleasure, confidence and fun in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
We would like to say a very heartfelt thank you to The Farrier Freehouse in Deal for their wonderful support and fundraising. Their quiz night raised an amazing amount of money, which enabled us to purchase this fantastic piece of equipment.
It really is a great item and one that will be used and enjoyed a great deal by our clients. We know it will continue to bring lots of happiness, laughter and stimulation to those who visit the Sunflower Centre.
Thank you once again to everyone at The Farrier Freehouse, and to all those who supported the fundraising. Your generosity is already making a real difference.
