SANDWICH MEMORY WALK 2024 - 22 Aug 2024

Dementia is the UK's biggest killer and there is currently no cure. Every three minutes someone is diagnosed with dementia and Alzheimer's Society is the only UK charity that campaigns for change, funds research into care and supports people living with dementia. 

By taking part in #memorywalk2024 you are providing help and hope for everyone affected by dementia now and in the future.

Join the Sandwich Memory Walk in support of the Alzheimer's society.

Colleagues from the Co-op, staff and volunteers from Age Concern Sandwich, some members of the Rotary Club of Sandwich, along with others who have an interest in dementia, will be taking part. The aim is to raise awareness of the Disease and hopefully raise some money to support the work Alzheimer's society does to support those living with Dementia.

The date is the 7th September, starting at the Co-op, meeting at 10am for a 10.30am start.

Dementia is the UKs biggest killer, with someone developing the disease every three minutes and currently there is no cure. We know it is scary but we must confront the biggest health and social care challenge of our time. We owe it to the 900,000 people across the UK currently living with dementia to campaign for change, whilst providing vital day-to-day support. By taking part and raising money, or donating to someone who is, you are helping to do this.
