Village Warm Space @StNics in St Nicholas Church, Ash is ready to give everyone a Warm Welcome this winter. Starts Thursday 13th November
At St Nicholas church we are gearing up for winter by offering a Warm, Welcome and FREE Space to everyone in our village community on a Thursday each week.
We are one of thousands of Warm Welcome Spaces right across the UK. Together, these community spaces bring connection, friendship, and human warmth, helping people feel less isolated and lonely and boosting wellbeing. 84% of people visiting a Warm Welcome Space say it has given them a stronger sense of belonging to their local community.
Starting from the 13th November, we will be open every Thursday 11am-2pm. Warm Space @StNics will offer a warm friendly welcome, free tea/coffee and a mug of hot homemade soup with a cheese roll. Don’t be alone this winter, come and meet new and old friends!
We would like everyone to know that this is available and open to all, so please help us to spread the word - help others you know who would appreciate some company to find our Warm Space, and come along for a cuppa and a chat yourself.
Our Village Warm Space relies on the generosity of volunteers and donors to keep our doors open to everyone who needs support this winter. And so we’re calling on you. If you have some time, and would like to get involved, we would gladly welcome more volunteers, subject to our church safeguarding regulations. Volunteering is rewarding and fulfilling. It’s an opportunity to see first-hand the real value that spaces like ours can have on people’s lives. This is a great project for our community.
