Summer Raffle Launches with Wonderful Support from Local Businesses - 26 May 2026

Excitement is building at Age Concern Sandwich as tickets are now officially on sale for our fabulous Summer Raffle, which will be drawn at our Summer Fair on 16th July.

As visitors come into our Well-being Centre, they can already see a wonderful display of tempting goodies and prizes, all helping to create a real buzz ahead of the big draw. Alongside these lovely items, we are incredibly fortunate to have received an amazing selection of prizes generously donated by local businesses, whose kindness and community spirit continue to amaze us.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to every business that has supported the raffle this year.

Among the fantastic prizes up for grabs is a Day Trip for Two to Oxford with Bayliss Executive Travel. Winners will enjoy local pick-up and luxury executive coach travel before spending the day exploring one of England’s most beautiful and historic cities at their own pace. Bayliss Executive Travel are long-time supporters of the community and provide a wide range of excursions and holidays, with bookings also available through Age Concern Sandwich.

Food lovers will be delighted by the opportunity to win a two-course meal with a bottle of wine at The Bell Hotel, one of Sandwich’s most iconic and welcoming venues. Overlooking the river in the heart of the town, The Bell is well known for its warm hospitality, relaxing atmosphere and excellent dining.

Golf enthusiasts can look forward to a fantastic prize from The Fleur de Lis — one hour on their popular Golf Simulator along with a £20 food and drink voucher. Whether you are a seasoned golfer or simply fancy trying something different, it promises to be a fun and enjoyable experience.

The Waiting Room has generously provided a £20 voucher, giving the lucky winner the chance to enjoy this popular local venue known for its friendly atmosphere and delicious food and drinks.

The Little Curiosity Box has donated a voucher to spend in their delightful shop, filled with unique gifts, curiosities and special finds.

Keeping people looking their best, Bay Barbers have kindly donated a voucher for a haircut — a great opportunity for a fresh trim and a bit of pampering.

Pearls and Daughters have generously donated a voucher and gift, adding a touch of style and luxury to our growing collection of prizes.

Meanwhile, Maria’s Coffee Shop has offered two delicious Knickerbocker Glories — a classic indulgent treat that is sure to bring smiles to the winners.

GSL Pilates has kindly donated a one-hour massage of the winner’s choice, offering the perfect chance to relax tired muscles and enjoy some dedicated time for wellbeing.
