Team Age Concern Sandwich Join the Memory Walk - 21 Sep 2025

Despite the rain on Saturday, spirits were anything but dampened as Team Age Concern Sandwich proudly took part in the Memory Walk in support of the Alzheimer’s Society.

We were delighted with the fantastic turnout – friends, supporters, and community members all came together to walk in memory of loved ones, for those living with dementia, and in support of the families who care for them.

The route may have been wet, but the atmosphere was full of warmth, with plenty of chat, laughter, and shared moments of reflection about those we were walking for. The walk took us around the beautiful historic old town walls of Sandwich, a fitting and scenic backdrop for such a meaningful occasion.

This year’s walk felt especially significant as September is World Alzheimer’s Month, a time to come together, raise awareness, and show support for those affected by dementia across the world.

A huge thank you goes to everyone who joined us on the day and to those who kindly donated. Your support makes such a difference to this great cause, and we’re proud to have walked alongside such a caring community.
